ok, here's some stock or close-to-stock E bodies...

this one's what i'd build if i had the budget and wanted a stock cuda.
it's a 71 hemicuda, 4 speed, in winchester grey. i think the grey works great with the 71 fender gills and grill, very shark like.

here's a yellow AAR, this is totally stock! awesome...

Saturday, March 6, 2010

and here's an AAR, the plymouth trans-am homologation car. these things are awesome, they came with rowdy side exit exhausts, screaming hot small blocks, close ratio 4 speed, quick ratio steering, staggered tire sizes (a first), reflective stripes, and a fiberglass hood. stock! this version is my favourite AAR, with plain steelies and a hood tach.

in keeping with the trans-am pics below, here is a dodge challenger T/A, the car dodge sold to the public in order to compete in trans-am as according to the homologation rules. this one's in ef8 green with green interior, and i think it's my favourite stock challenger.

in black...

here's a modern day take on the '70 trans am cuda...

here's Sam Posey's challenger from the '70 trans-am series.

1970 Trans am racers

this is the '70 plymouth 'cuda that Dan Gurney campaigned in the 1970 Trans-Am series. i think it is one of the best looking race cars ever, and it's one of the main reasons i got a cuda. these E body racers had potential, winning pole postition on a few occasions, but first year teething issues prevented them from winning any races. but if they were giving out awards for best lookin car on the track then this thing had the competition beat.

oh, it also had the first computer designed rollcage in the world! rad.

here's today's effort, a 'cuda street fighter

i hope to put a big block 440 in my car this year, and when i do i plan on running a different look to the car for a bit. this is a homage to the factory mopar drag cars of the late 60's. not everyone's cup of tea, but i like it! for a while anyways...

here's my latest version of the ultimate goal for my car (it changes all the time of course).

700hp 440ci small block, 4 speed with GV overdrive, stock style but fully updated suspension, fully braced custom body with bare-carbon front end... etc etc

and this is my car as it rolled off the assembly line in detroit!

this is what my car looked like when i bought it

my 'cuda!

this is my car as it is now.
well, the custom yellow lettering i stenciled on the tires has worn off, so for now it has regular 'ol white letters.

...and this is an equally plain jane '70 Challenger. aren't they gorgeous!

E bodies!

ok, lets start off nice and mild, this is a plain old '70 Plymouth Barracuda
